Nigerian Army troops, in conjunction with local hunters, ambushed suspected terrorists who were reportedly extorting illegal taxes from herders in Gombi LGA, Adamawa State. The operation targeted the armed group's revenue-collection activity in the area.

Suspected Boko Haram terrorists attacked Zah community in Hong LGA, Adamawa State on the evening of July 27, killing four people including a forest guard and abducting a middle-aged woman before security forces engaged them in a gun battle and forced their retreat. The attackers arrived on motorcycles, fired sporadically, and set houses ablaze.

A combined security team of police, military troops from 144 Battalion, and Civilian JTF repelled a terrorist attack on Garaha Village in Hong LGA, Adamawa State, forcing attackers to retreat towards Sambisa Forest and recovering one weapon. The operation averted a fresh assault on communities in Hong, which have frequently come under attack.
