Gunmen attacked St. Andrews Anglican Church in Isiokwe, Lilu community, killing two people, including the priest's wife, and injuring many others. The attackers also set vehicles and parts of the church ablaze.

Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of an 80-year-old woman in Umunwaji Ogboro, Ihiala, Anambra State. The victim was found tied before being killed, and a stolen motorcycle was recovered from one of the suspects.

Police in Anambra State intercepted a vehicle carrying armed kidnappers, resulting in the rescue of one victim and the neutralization of one assailant during a gunfight. Four other assailants escaped with injuries.

Gunmen shot and killed a man in Ihiala, Anambra State, less than 24 hours before his wedding. The assailants demanded his belongings before fatally shooting him.
