A farm dispute over weed dumping in Kumba Village, Ningi LGA escalated into a fatal physical altercation when a farmer and his three sons allegedly assaulted two men. One victim died while receiving treatment at a health centre; four suspects were arrested by police.

Troops of Operation MESA, working with local vigilantes, arrested three suspected terrorists during a clearance operation in a forest in Ningi LGA, Bauchi State.

Suspected bandits attacked Rafin Ciyawa village in Ningi LGA, Bauchi State on the night of June 28, 2026, killing two people and abducting five others including a pregnant woman and four men. Four residents were also injured, two of whom sustained gunshot wounds and remained under hospital treatment.

Two separate incidents of social gathering violence in Bauchi State resulted in two deaths and three injuries: a wedding clash in Ningi LGA on June 26 killed one 19-year-old, and a naming ceremony clash in Kirfi LGA on June 25 killed a 27-year-old man. Police arrested nine suspects in connection with the Ningi incident and three suspects for the Kirfi killing.

A man was arrested for allegedly robbing and assaulting a commercial motorcyclist in Ningi Local Government Area, Bauchi State. The suspect attacked the victim with a stick and fled with his motorcycle but was apprehended shortly after the incident.
