Three armed men from Boje Community attacked a cocoa farm in Isibendeghe Community, Boki LGA, Cross River State, fatally shooting one farm worker with a locally made firearm. Two other workers escaped; police have launched a manhunt for the three named suspects.

A 36-year-old man was stabbed with a dagger during an argument in Etayip community, Ikom LGA, Cross River State, over the weekend. The victim was rushed to hospital but later died while receiving treatment at a teaching hospital in Abakaliki; the suspect has been arrested and the murder weapon recovered.

A woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a church toilet in Calabar, Cross River State. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.

A man has been arrested for allegedly killing two farmers over a dispute regarding an illegal cannabis plantation in Odukpani Local Government Area. The victims' bodies were reportedly disposed of in a river.
