A 30-year-old woman reported that she was raped and assaulted by a man she met on social media at a hotel in Ado-Ekiti. The police have arrested the suspect, who is currently remanded in custody pending trial.
10 May 2026 · Efon Alaaye
A 37-year-old man has been remanded for allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl in Efon Alaaye-Ekiti on May 10, 2026. The case has been adjourned until June 24 for further mention.
2 October 2025 · Ado-Ekiti
A man has been remanded in custody for allegedly attempting to rape a 6-year-old minor in Ado-Ekiti. The case is set for hearing on November 14.
15 April 2025 · Ikere-Ekiti
The Ekiti State Police Command reported two cases of sexual violence, including a rape case involving an 18-year-old victim and a defilement case involving a 3-year-old girl, both occurring in Ikere-Ekiti.

A 19-year-old man was arrested in Ado-Ekiti for allegedly defiling a 15-year-old girl, with another suspect still at large. The case has been transferred to the Gender Based Violence Unit for further investigation.

A 14-year-old girl was killed in Emure-Ekiti after resisting an attempted rape by two men. The suspects were arrested near the crime scene with cutlasses.

An accidental discharge by a policeman celebrating a colleague's promotion resulted in the death of a nursing mother in Ado-Ekiti. The officer has been disarmed and detained for further investigation.

A man was arrested in Ijero-Ekiti for attempting to rape a 61-year-old woman, claiming his actions were motivated by love. He allegedly attempted to murder her with a knife during the incident.
24 June 2024 · Ado-Ekiti
A 45-year-old man has been remanded in custody for allegedly raping a 65-year-old woman in Ipole-Ekiti on June 24. The case is under further investigation.
