A Special Constabulary officer was kidnapped by armed bandits in Kwakware village, Katsina State, while traveling along the Kankara–Sheme road. Security forces have launched operations to rescue the victim and apprehend the suspects.

A suspected terrorist attack in Ruwan Godiya village, Faskari LGA, Katsina State resulted in the killing of the local chairman of the Butchers Association. The assailant, identified as Dogo Musa, fled the scene before security forces arrived.
