During a NAFDAC crackdown on banned sachet alcohol and miniature PET bottle beverages in Lagos, one enforcement official was stabbed and narrowly escaped death while another was physically assaulted. NAFDAC's director-general described the attacks as criminal acts directed against the Nigerian state and vowed prosecution of those responsible.

Lagos State Police arrested a man for allegedly threatening, physically assaulting, and intimidating his daughter-in-law by locking her out of her late husband's house shortly after his death.

A barber was shot twice in the head by three unidentified gunmen inside his barbing salon at Church Gate along the Badagry Expressway in Lagos on the night of Tuesday, July 21. The victim was rushed to hospital but confirmed dead on arrival; the motive remains unknown and residents ruled out known cult-related violence in the area.
