A former Benue State SSG and university lecturer was shot by suspected bandits on the Wukari-Makurdi road after he resisted orders to alight from his vehicle and mount a motorcycle. He was transported to the Benue State University Teaching Hospital in Makurdi, where he died in the early hours of Friday.

Armed robbers using motorcycles have been repeatedly attacking homes in Jalingo, Taraba State, particularly along the ATC–Roadblock axis, Nukkai, Nya'ma Salla, and Mallam Jo'da, arriving in large groups at night to steal cash, valuables, and drain bank accounts via POS machines. The attacks are occurring despite a legally enforced ban on commercial motorcycles in the state capital, raising concerns about enforcement effectiveness.

Two commercial motorcyclists were killed and a third critically injured in an ambush by unidentified assailants along the Donadda–Kunini road in Lau LGA, Taraba State, on Monday evening. The attackers inflicted severe machete wounds on the victims and carted away their motorcycles; police have commenced efforts to track down the perpetrators.
