Troops of the Nigerian Army's 1 Brigade conducted a fighting patrol in Maradun LGA, Zamfara State, neutralising two suspected terrorists and recovering two motorcycles during a gun battle at Tungar Magaji and Gidan Dawa villages. The operation was part of ongoing military efforts to restrict terrorist movement across Zamfara State.

Terrorists attacked the Gora Namaye district in Maradun LGA of Zamfara State, killing 19 farmers and injuring 12 others. The assailants arrived on motorcycles and opened fire on the community.

Suspected bandits attacked farmers in Goran Namaye village, killing 17 and injuring several others while they were working on their farmlands. The attack occurred after the bandits had issued threats against anyone farming during the planting season.

Fifty elderly individuals from Magamin Diddi village were kidnapped by bandits while attempting to engage in a reconciliation mission. The bandits' leader, Jammo, has since released 11 of the captives but is demanding a ransom for the remaining hostages.
