Troops from Operation Whirl Stroke conducted a clearance operation in the Otukpo-Nobi, Amichio and Amula Forest axis of Benue State on July 17, arresting five suspected militia members and recovering a locally fabricated Dane gun and five rounds of 7.62mm ammunition. Militia camps were demolished to prevent their reuse as operational bases.

Troops of Operation Whirl Stroke conducted a two-day raid (16–17 July 2026) on a terrorist hideout in Katsina-Ala LGA, Benue State, killing two suspected terrorists and rescuing three kidnap victims. Weapons recovered included AK-47 and G3 rifles, a pistol, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, and a POS device.
