Robbers broke into St. Mulumba Catholic Parish in Owerri and stole a Monstrance containing the Blessed Sacrament, causing distress among the church community. The incident has led to a call for a week of prayer for reparation.

The Imo State Police Command dismantled an armed robbery syndicate involved in the theft of motorcycles and vehicles, arresting five suspects and recovering 450 motorcycles along with other stolen items. The operation was prompted by a report of a missing driver who was later found unconscious.
