Reckless car racers killed one person and seriously injured another at the Imo State University junction in Owerri on Sunday evening. Eyewitnesses described the illegal racing as an increasingly regular occurrence at the busy junction.

A man in Owaelu, Owerri North LGA, Imo State, allegedly killed his wife and fled with their two children. Residents discovered the woman's lifeless body on Monday morning within a church premises in the area.

A 21-year-old student at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, died after allegedly being assaulted by fellow members of the Man O’ War organisation over accusations of theft. Three students have been arrested in connection with the incident.

The body of a pregnant woman was discovered near the Sam Mbakwe Airport in Owerri, Imo State, with multiple stab wounds. Investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding her death.

The police in Imo State discovered the corpse of a missing woman in a shallow grave at a gas station and arrested two suspects for her murder. The woman had been reported missing on October 24, 2022.
4 December 2021 · Isiala Mbano
A 27-year-old man was killed by unidentified youths in Anara Market, Isiala Mbano, after being found with crystal meth. The incident caused panic among traders who feared reprisals from the victim's kinsmen.
14 September 2021 · Ehime Mbano
A 20-year-old male was killed by his parents and buried in a shallow grave in their compound in Imo State. The suspects were arrested after community members reported the incident to the police.
