The Kano State Hisbah Board arrested 19 people at a hotel in Nassarawa GRA over alleged involvement in immoral activities. Investigations are ongoing to determine culpability, with those found guilty to be charged in court and first-time offenders to be counselled.

A man was beaten to death in the Sheka area of Kano on July 24 after being lured by two men over allegations of an affair with a married woman; three suspects were arrested. In a separate incident on July 27 at Durbar Hotel in Badawa, a woman allegedly stabbed her boyfriend and severed his genitals after learning he planned to marry another woman.
