Kano State Police rescued a 9-year-old boy on July 31 after nearly four weeks in captivity, following an intelligence-led operation by the Anti-Kidnapping Unit. Ten suspects were arrested; the principal suspect remains at large, and a ransom of $30,000 had been demanded for the boy's release.
