18 July 2026 · Kokona
Three Chinese nationals and several Nigerian miners were arrested during a security operation led by the Nasarawa State Deputy Governor at an illegal mining site in Amba Community, Kokona LGA. Authorities recovered suspected mineral resources, CCTV cameras, and mining equipment; the Chinese nationals stated they had been mining since the previous year on behalf of superiors based in Abuja.

Nasarawa State Police Command operatives arrested six suspected internet fraudsters during a midnight raid on a hideout in Rugan Madaki, recovering a Makarov pistol and laptops.

The Nigeria Police Force rescued 30 Malian nationals from a human trafficking syndicate operating in Nasarawa State and arrested 13 suspects linked to the network. The victims were reportedly held under exploitative conditions and forced into staged kidnapping schemes to extort money from their families.

Police rescued 40 victims of human trafficking, mostly Malian nationals, from a bungalow in Orange Market, Mararaba, Nasarawa State. The prime suspect has been arrested as investigations continue.

Forty suspected internet fraudsters were arrested by the EFCC in Keffi, Nasarawa State, and Mpape, Federal Capital Territory, following credible information about their involvement in internet-related offences.

Three individuals, including a pastor, were arrested for trafficking 12 children from Akwanga, Nasarawa State to Ogun State. The children, aged between 5 and 16 years, were intercepted by police operatives in Abuja.
6 January 2024 · Awe
A fake soldier was arrested in Awe, Nasarawa state, for defrauding individuals under the pretext of securing employment in the Nigerian Army. The suspect was found in military camouflage and claimed to be attached to a battalion in Borno State.
6 April 2023 · Nasarawa
Two suspects were arrested for motorcycle theft in Nasarawa LGA, with one of them being a prison escapee from Kuje. They were linked to multiple motorcycle snatchings in the area.
14 November 2022 · Karu
Two members of a counterfeit dollars syndicate were arrested in Karu LGA, Nasarawa State, with $15,400 in fake notes recovered. The suspects had been operating under a bridge in the area for 10 years, defrauding many Nigerians.
