The mutilated, headless body of an unidentified woman was discovered along Barracks Road near the GRA Roundabout in Ondo town. Police confirmed the discovery and have commenced investigations to identify the deceased, determine the circumstances, and apprehend those responsible.
5 July 2026 · Akure South
A 47-year-old refrigeration technician was shot and killed by suspected armed robbers who invaded the Shagari area of Akure in the early hours of the day. A suspect was subsequently arrested in connection with the attack.
15 June 2026 · Idanre
A burglary syndicate operating in Idanre LGA, Ondo State broke into a cocoa store on 15 June 2026 and stole a bag of cocoa valued at N1,250,000; the principal suspect had also previously invaded Idanre High School armed with two firearms on 13 March 2026. Police arrested four suspects and recovered two illegal firearms from the principal suspect's residence.

A woman in Akure, Ondo State, allegedly injured her husband with a cutlass during a domestic dispute, leading to serious injuries. The incident was reported to the police, resulting in her arrest and arraignment.

A suspected armed robber was arrested by police in the Abusoro axis of Akure South, Ondo State, during a routine patrol. A locally made pistol was recovered from the suspect.

A man allegedly killed two of his female siblings and his five-year-old daughter in Okitipupa, Ondo State. The incident occurred at the family residence where the suspect reportedly locked himself inside before carrying out the attack.

Police rescued five passengers who were taken during an armed robbery along Ondo Road and arrested three suspects in connection with the incident. The victims were unharmed during the operation.

Three suspected robbers armed with a pump-action rifle and cutlasses attacked a health centre in Oke Ijebu, Ondo State, robbing the staff of their belongings and abandoning them in the bush after the incident.
