An 18-month-old toddler was beheaded in a farm settlement in Ondo State after an attack on her mother. The police have confirmed an arrest and are investigating the incident.
11 June 2026 · Ifon
A 30-year-old man was arraigned before an Akure Magistrate's Court and remanded at Olokuta Correctional Centre for allegedly raping an 18-year-old female hawker on June 11, 2026, in Ijagba Community, Ifon, Ondo State. The suspect and an accomplice allegedly lured the victim to their residence under the pretense of paying for goods, then forcibly restrained and sexually assaulted her.

A 23-year-old man was arrested for defiling a 14-year-old girl in Ijebu-Owo, Owo LGA, after the victim reported the incident to the police despite threats from the suspect.

A man was arrested for allegedly raping and killing a woman in Iboropa community, Ondo State. The suspect confessed to strangling the victim after the assault.

An ex-convict has been arrested in Akure, Ondo State for allegedly raping three women without their consent. The suspect, who had recently completed a jail term for a similar offense, was apprehended following multiple complaints about his activities.

A local hunter in Ondo State shot his friend in the thigh after seeing him with his girlfriend through a window. The suspect has been arrested and the victim is currently recuperating in the hospital.
