Newly recruited Nigerian Army personnel allegedly invaded student hostels at Osun State University's Osogbo campus on Monday night, physically assaulting male students and sexually harassing female students. The incident caused significant distress among the student population.

On March 15, officers of the Nigeria Customs Service shot and killed a motorist on the Iwo-Osogbo Road in Osun State. The incident has raised concerns over extrajudicial killings by security agents in Nigeria.

A 20-year-old man was arrested for allegedly defiling a 12-year-old girl in Gbongan, Osun State. The suspect reportedly threatened the victim with a cutlass during the incident.

A 30-year-old ex-convict was arrested for allegedly raping a 9-year-old girl in Ada Town, Osun State. The incident occurred in an uncompleted building, and the suspect was apprehended by residents after the girl raised an alarm.

A 22-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping a 3-year-old girl in Garage Olode, Ife South LGA, Osun State. The incident was reported by the child's mother, and the girl is currently receiving medical treatment.

Two internet fraudsters killed their colleague over money in Osun State. They lured him to a bush where they murdered him and decapitated him to take his money.

Three men were arrested for killing a 53-year-old woman for ritual purposes in Ile Ogbo, Osun State. The suspects abducted her from her home and mutilated her body.
