Police arrested five suspected kidnappers and recovered an operational vehicle in Rivers State. The arrest was reported by security analyst Zagazola Makama with reference to the Nigerian Army and Defence Headquarters.

A female shop owner was abducted from her shop on Saturday by a kidnapping syndicate using a white-tinted minibus. The Rivers State Police Violent Crime Response Unit arrested four suspects and rescued the victim, while two remaining gang members remain at large.

A white-tinted minibus used in the abduction was also recovered, and all four suspects confessed to their roles.
