Yobe State Police Command arrested five suspects in connection with separate incidents: a fraud scheme involving impersonation to obtain food items in Damaturu, vandalism of a community transformer and theft of its power cable in Potiskum/Fika area, and a grievous hurt case in Tarmuwa LGA where a suspect shot a victim with a bow and arrow. All suspects are in custody and investigations are ongoing.

Yobe State Police arrested four suspects in two separate incidents: a goat theft at Damaturu's Sunday Market on 2 August 2026 where an accomplice assaulted the complainant with a stick, and a criminal conspiracy involving theft of building materials worth approximately ₦2.5 million reported on 1 August 2026, with ₦1.5 million worth of materials recovered.

Yobe State Police Command conducted a coordinated raid on criminal hideouts across Damaturu metropolis on 12 July 2026, arresting 63 suspects and recovering illicit drugs including Tramadol, Valium-5, Pentazocine injections, suspected Indian hemp, and dangerous weapons.
