Troops of Operation Hadin Kai conducted multiple intelligence-led operations on August 3, 2026, arresting four suspected terrorist collaborators in Geidam (Yobe) and Monguno (Borno), recovering drugs, logistics items, and cash. In a separate patrol along the Gezuwa axis in Konduga LGA, troops also intercepted 20 suspected family members of JAS terrorists who had fled their enclave under military pressure.

Suspected Boko Haram insurgents attacked Geidam town in Yobe State at approximately 4:30 am, burning four vehicles — including two official local government vehicles at the LGA secretariat and two trucks (one laden with traders' goods worth millions of naira) at the market — before withdrawing. The attackers changed their modus operandi by entering on foot rather than motorcycles to evade security forces.
