A serving police officer and a civilian are under investigation for the alleged sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl in Itas/Gadau LGA, Bauchi State. The first incident allegedly occurred on July 2 near the LGA Secretariat, and a second assault by the civilian suspect allegedly occurred on July 10 at his business premises; the civilian has been arrested while the officer has been formally queried.

A 22-year-old man was arrested after unlawfully entering a female students' lodge at Malikiyya College of Health in Bauchi's Old GRA area at approximately 2:30 a.m., dressed in a police camouflage uniform and claiming to be a security operative, for alleged attempted rape, criminal trespass, impersonation, and theft. The suspect was apprehended by a police team led by the divisional police officer of 'B' Division following a distress call, and the camouflage uniform was recovered as an exhibit.

A 45-year-old man was arrested by the Bauchi Police Command for allegedly luring an 8-year-old girl into his room and defiling her in Dorawan Dillalai, Bauchi. The suspect was also assaulted by angry community members before being taken into custody; the case has been referred to the Gender Laboratory of the State Criminal Investigation Department for investigation and prosecution.

Bauchi State police arrested four suspects in separate cases of alleged sexual assault of minors across Darazo, Shira, and Itas-Gadau LGAs between 19 and 26 June 2026. The victims — three girls and one boy, aged 4 to 10 — were taken for medical examination and treatment, while all cases have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for prosecution.

A 50-year-old man was arrested in Bulkachuwa, Katagum LGA, Bauchi State, for allegedly defiling a nine-year-old girl on June 14, 2026, after luring her while she was hawking and taking her to an uncompleted building. The suspect reportedly confessed and admitted to threatening the child with a knife to prevent her from telling her parents.

A 70-year-old man was arrested for allegedly defiling a 10-year-old girl in Magama Gumau, Bauchi State. The suspect reportedly lured the victim to his hideout and had unlawful sexual intercourse with her.

A 29-year-old man was arrested in Bauchi after allegedly luring his 14-year-old relative outside their residence in the early hours of May 14, 2026, and sexually assaulting her in Guru Village.
