Unknown gunmen attacked the residence of a man in Gwanar Dutse Village, Alkaleri LGA, Bauchi State on July 31, 2026, shooting him in the right thigh as he attempted to escape. Police subsequently arrested two suspected informants linked to the attack on August 2, 2026, following intelligence-led investigations; both suspects confessed to providing information to the perpetrators.

Gunmen abducted a businessman in a community in Bauchi State. Police have launched a rescue operation in response to the abduction.

Suspected bandits attacked Rafin Ciyawa village in Ningi LGA, Bauchi State on the night of June 28, 2026, killing two people and abducting five others including a pregnant woman and four men. Four residents were also injured, two of whom sustained gunshot wounds and remained under hospital treatment.

Within a two-week period, gunmen carried out multiple attacks in Kagadama and Bagel villages in Dass LGA, Bauchi State, abducting four residents (including a pharmacy owner for whom N50 million ransom was demanded and a 10-year-old boy) and killing one man in front of his family. The Bauchi State Police Command confirmed the attacks and stated that security operatives are working to rescue the victims and apprehend the perpetrators.

Police rescued two 13-year-old girls who were abducted from Taraba State and arrested two suspects in Bauchi State. The girls had been missing since March and were found in Bara Town.
11 June 2026 · Bauchi
Three suspects were arrested in connection with the murder of a resident in Miri Village, Bauchi, following a misunderstanding. In a separate incident, two suspects were arrested for an armed robbery attack on a commercial motorcyclist in Ningi.
