A farmer and his gang beat a suspected thief to death in Okpara-Waterside Community, Ethiope-East LGA, Delta State, after allegedly catching him stealing from his farm. In retaliation, suspected cultists who were friends of the deceased entered the community and shot dead a bystander who appealed for calm.

A woman staged her own kidnapping in Edo State and demanded a ransom from her family, but was later found in a hotel in Delta State with her lover. Four individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident.

A kidnapped victim was rescued by police in collaboration with vigilantes and hunters in Abraka Community, Delta State. The victim was abducted by armed men who invaded a residence but was found safe after the suspects fled upon police arrival.
