A woman has been arrested for allegedly beating her nine-year-old stepdaughter to death in Enugu State. The incident reportedly involved ongoing maltreatment of the child by the stepmother.

A 24-year-old man was detained for the alleged rape and attempted murder of a pregnant woman in Affa community, Enugu State. The incident occurred on March 14, 2026, when the victim was attacked and dragged into an uncompleted building.

A mob in Ede-Oballa, Nsukka LGA, Enugu State, killed two suspected ritualists who allegedly defiled a 10-year-old girl to death and mutilated her body. The suspects were overpowered by residents and set ablaze.

A couple in Enugu was arrested for allegedly torturing their 10-year-old maid by inflicting severe injuries using hot objects and nails. The victim was rescued following a tip-off to the police.
