A newly married woman died allegedly due to coercive actions by her husband and his friends shortly after their wedding. The police have arrested the suspects and are conducting an investigation.
8 October 2024 · Kiyawa
A 27-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping an 8-year-old girl in Unguwar Yan Koli Zakirai village, Jigawa State. The incident was reported by the victim's brother after the girl was found crying and disclosed the assault.
29 January 2024 · Dutse
A 24-year-old man was arrested in Dutse, Jigawa State for allegedly stealing the genitals of five teenagers. The suspect confessed to the crime and the genitals were restored to the victims.
18 October 2023 · Roni
The chairman of the APC in Roni LGA, Jigawa State, was arrested for allegedly raping and impregnating a 14-year-old girl. The incident was reported to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps by the victim's brother.
29 July 2023 · Auyo
Two men were arrested in Jigawa State for the rape of two young girls, one of whom contracted Hepatitis B. The arrests followed a complaint from the father of one of the victims.

Five suspects have been arrested in Jigawa State for the rape of a minor, following a report made by her father. The suspects are being investigated and will be arraigned in court.

A 57-year-old man and 10 others were arrested in Jigawa for allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl. The suspects were apprehended after the police received a complaint about the man attempting to lure the victim.

A 75-year-old man was arrested for raping his six-year-old grandniece in Jigawa State. The incident was reported after a family friend caught the suspect in the act.
9 November 2021 · Birninkudu
An 18-year-old boy died after being beaten by a member of a local security network, following his father's decision to punish him for allegedly stealing corn. The incident occurred in Kafin Gana village, Jigawa.
