21 July 2026 · Dala
Two men were arrested by the Kano State Police Command for robbing tricycle operators by luring and drugging them before stealing their vehicles at gunpoint. At least 11 victims have been identified across Dorayi and Bachirawa Quarters, with one victim hospitalized at Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital; a stolen tricycle was recovered during an intelligence-led operation by the Dala Police Division.

Kano State Police operatives attached to Panshekara Division intercepted a vehicle without a registration plate whose teenage driver attempted to flee; a search of the vehicle led to the recovery of a Beretta pistol, suspected Indian hemp, a knife, electric wires, 120 lithium batteries, and a vehicle suspected to have been stolen. The suspect was transferred to the State CID for further investigation.

Suspected thieves killed a hospital security guard by slitting his throat during the night of July 3, 2026, at a hospital in Danlasan Ward, Warawa LGA, Kano State, before carting away solar equipment belonging to the facility.

Two attackers injured security guards with a knife while stealing a Toyota ambulance belonging to EHA Special Hospital in Kano. The ambulance was later recovered by the police.

Ten suspected criminals were arrested in Kano State for various criminal acts including vandalism and theft. The suspects were apprehended at multiple locations within Kumbotso local government area.

The Kano State Police arrested 149 suspected armed thugs involved in violent attacks on homes in Kano city, recovering various weapons in the process. The police have intensified operations to restore calm and enhance security in the area.

Youths suspected to be thugs attacked the popular mobile phone market at Farm Centre in Kano, causing panic and stealing valuables from traders and customers. The situation was contained by armed police intervention.

Suspected motorcycle robbers attacked a teacher in Bunkure LGA, severing his hand while attempting to steal from another victim. The teacher was left in critical condition after the assault.
13 March 2026 · Gwale
Four suspects were arrested in Dorayi Babba, Gwale Local Government Area, for attacking a resident and snatching his mobile phone. The suspects were caught during a routine patrol after residents reported their activities.
