A man was arrested for defrauding 38 female students by offering fake ushering jobs at a hotel in Kano, where he stole their phones and personal belongings. The police recovered 29 stolen phones and other items after tracing the suspect.

NDLEA operatives conducted raids on multiple drug dens in Kano, resulting in the arrest of 21 suspects and the seizure of various illicit substances and weapons. Some suspects attempted to attack the operatives during the raids.

The Kano State Police Command arrested two suspects involved in a fraud scheme where they impersonated spirits to extort money from residents. The suspects allegedly defrauded over 500 victims using voice modulation techniques to sound like 'Aljannu'.

Kano police arrested three suspects involved in a tricycle theft syndicate and recovered eight stolen tricycles during an operation on March 26, 2026. The suspects were apprehended after one failed to provide satisfactory ownership of a tricycle.

Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps arrested a suspected gun-runner with six firearms and a fraudster with counterfeit cash in separate operations in Kano State. Both cases are under investigation.

Two men were remanded in court for allegedly conspiring to extort money from motorists and motorcyclists by posing as security personnel along the highway. They denied the charges and are awaiting further proceedings.

The Kano State Hisbah Board intercepted a suspected human trafficking syndicate involving two adults and three underage girls. The suspects were apprehended after a public tip-off regarding a suspicious argument.
