An unidentified man was found hanging inside an uncompleted building in the Albishiri Area of Chanchaga LGA, Niger State. Police, who received the report around 7am on Thursday, suspect the incident is a suicide case and have contacted the Chanchaga Social Welfare Department while investigation continues.

An NSCDC Mining Marshal operative was killed after suspected illegal miners violently resisted a routine patrol at a mining site in Korokpa Village, Paikoro LGA, Niger State. The officer was shot in the head during the confrontation; several miners also sustained gunshot injuries and were admitted to a hospital in Minna.

Troops of the 102 Guards Battalion raided an illegal mining site in Suleja LGA, Niger State, arresting 14 suspected illegal miners. One of the suspects died after being apprehended.

A student was fatally stabbed during a freshers' party at the Federal University of Education in Kontagora. The incident occurred following a dispute between two students.
1 April 2025 · Minna
A 12-year-old boy was killed by a stray bullet fired by vigilantes during an attempt to disperse suspected miscreants in the Soje ‘A’ area of Minna, Niger State. The incident occurred when the vigilantes were confronted by the miscreants, leading to gunfire.
