The NSCDC in Oyo State has paraded 10 suspects for their involvement in multiple cases of rape and financial fraud, including the gang rape of a 16-year-old girl and the alleged rape of a nine-year-old girl.

Two members of a vigilante group at Ajayi Crowther University in Oyo State have been arrested for allegedly raping a female student on May 9, 2024. The university has set up a panel of inquiry and handed the suspects over to the police.

Seven suspects have been apprehended in Oyo State for offenses related to child defilement, human trafficking, and harmful traditional practices. The suspects are involved in various acts including rape and attempts to traffic girls to Libya.

A 200-level law student at the University of Ibadan has been arrested for allegedly raping a 100-level female colleague on campus. The incident occurred when the victim was taking a nap in the Students' Union building after moving from a lecture theatre due to power failure.

A woman allegedly stabbed her husband to death during a struggle over a sexual demand in Oyo town. The incident occurred on November 16 at their residence.
28 October 2022
Two friends were arrested for raping a girl who visited them at home, and one of them threatened to upload a video of the incident on social media. The police reported that the suspects confessed to the crime and are assisting with the investigation.

A 20-year-old apprentice has been arraigned for allegedly defiling and murdering a 17-year-old girl at a church in Ibadan. The suspect was charged with multiple offenses including theft.

A teacher at the Federal Government Girls’ College in Ibadan has been remanded in custody for allegedly raping a 14-year-old student. The incident reportedly occurred multiple times between November 2021 and May 2022.
