The Taraba Anti-Illegal Mining Task Force raided an illegal gold-mining site at Mayo Kam in Gantu village, Bali LGA, arresting two suspected illegal miners who were caught attempting to escape. Several items used in illegal mining — including pumping machines, digging equipment, generators, and mineral-processing materials — were recovered during the operation.

The Taraba State Anti-Illegal Mining Taskforce raided a suspected illegal gold mining site in Bali LGA, arresting two suspects and recovering mining equipment including pumping machines, diggers, generators, and mineral processing materials. Most miners fled into nearby forests before the taskforce arrived.

A Taraba State mobile court impounded a Toyota Yaris allegedly transporting illegally mined solid minerals (monoxide) extracted from the Dakka axis of Bali LGA during an early morning enforcement operation under Executive Order No. 5 of 2023. The vehicle and seized minerals were taken into custody pending legal proceedings.
1 February 2025 · Kidnapping
Troops from the Nigerian Army arrested 23 bandits, including five women, at a kidnappers' camp in Taraba State, neutralizing one bandit during the operation. The camp was reportedly established with a payment to a local chief.

Police and local hunters rescued two individuals who were abducted from Plateau State and taken to Isinyi Forest in Taraba State. The operation involved a gun battle with the kidnappers, who abandoned their victims during the confrontation.
