After a gun battle at Sabari Reraya village, the bandits fled into the bush, abandoning the stolen animals, which were recovered and secured pending return to their owners.

Suspected bandits invaded Wakaji village in Dutsin-Ma LGA, Katsina State on Monday night in an attempt to rustle cattle. Police from the Dutsin-Ma Division engaged the bandits in a gun battle, shooting one suspected bandit, though the others fled with 10 cattle; one resident was also wounded by a gunshot to the shoulder.
