Suspected bandits invaded Shuwaki community in Bakori LGA, Katsina State on Saturday night, killing one resident and abducting approximately 31 people, mostly women. The attackers also rustled livestock and carted away food items and valuables, operating for several hours while security personnel were unable to respond due to ambush fears.

Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA conducted multiple operations across Katsina State on July 26, rescuing a kidnap victim in Charanchi LGA after a gun battle with terrorists, arresting suspects and recovering a firearm in Batsari LGA raids with NDLEA, and intercepting suspected terrorists in Bakori LGA where 126 rustled livestock (83 cows, 43 sheep) were recovered.

Troops of the 17 Brigade Nigerian Army, in collaboration with the Katsina State Community Watch Corps, rescued a kidnapped woman after engaging suspected terrorists in Katsina State. The operation involved foiling a terrorist attack during the rescue.
