A man was shot and macheted to death during a cult clash in Abeokuta, Ogun State. The incident occurred on May 3, 2026, when rival cult members confronted each other, resulting in the victim's death.

Renewed cult clashes between rival Eiye and Aye confraternities in Abeokuta have resulted in at least four deaths. Police have arrested three suspected cultists in Ilaro during a routine stop-and-search operation.

Portable and his associates attacked Ogun State government officials during a routine inspection for illegal structures, leading to a violent confrontation. Nine suspects have been arrested and charged with various offenses related to the incident.

Students at Gateway Polytechnic in Ogun State protested after armed men, suspected to be robbers and cultists, attacked their colleagues, resulting in two deaths and several injuries. The incidents included rape and violence against students living off-campus.
