Suspected cultists shot and killed the Omoku Zonal Commander of OSPAC and three women in an attack along Oba Road in Omoku, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGA, Rivers State, on Monday evening while the commander was relaxing near his residence. Two additional victims sustained gunshot wounds and are receiving hospital treatment.

The Nigerian Navy dismantled two reactivated illegal refining sites in the Egbema axis of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGA, Rivers State, recovering over 126,000 litres of suspected stolen crude oil and illegally refined AGO concealed in seven dugout pits and reservoirs. The sites had previously been destroyed on July 10 but were reactivated by oil theft syndicates, prompting a follow-up intelligence-driven operation under Operation DELTA SENTINEL.

Gunmen abducted Engr Chukwudi Ogbonna, an Accord candidate for the Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area, while he was driving in Rumuigbo, near Port Harcourt. The kidnappers shot sporadically in the air before taking him away in his car.
